Stage three of the proposed Christchurch Replacement District Plan now open for submissions

The stage three proposals are now available at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz.   A hard copy (reference only) is available for viewing at each Council service centre and library, including the civic offices at 53 Hereford Street.

Stage three includes central city, natural and cultural heritage, coastal environment, Specific Purpose (Flat Land Recovery) Zone, Specific Purpose (Burwood Landfill and Resource Recovery) Zone, and remaining natural hazards content.

There are also updates to some proposals already notified in stages one or two, taking into account proposed new stage three zonings.  These updates are for general rules and procedures; transport; subdivision, development and earthworks; utilities and energy; rural and open space.

The Council is writing to the owners and occupiers of all properties directly affected by the stage three proposals.

A household newsletter highlighting some of the changes and including a copy of the submission form is being delivered to all households and out of town property owners.

There are 30 working days for public submissions on stage three.  Submissions can be made online at www.proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz , or by hard copy using a District Plan Review submission form available in the newsletter, from Council service centres and libraries (or on request from our customer call centre).  Submissions on the stage three proposals close on Friday 4 September 2015.
