Worried man means anxious fearful or concerned

A death in the family, losing your job or relationship problems can lead a person to feeling sad, anxious or worried.

These feelings are normal.  However when these types of feelings persist for no apparent reason it may be a sign of depression and/or anxiety.

Some people stuggle with it on their own because they're too embarassed to ask for help or to talk to someone.

Stayin' Strong spoke to Ann Evans, the national practice advisor at Lifeline to find out when you should ask for help.  Listen here.

End discrimination

Sometimes people are treated unfairly because of their race, religion or gender. It's against the law and when it happens there are places to go for help.

The Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland is one place you can contact.

Liz Bond who manages the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander unit, told Stayin' Strong, Indigenous people should make a stand against discrimination.
