WEEE Forum welcomes its new members: ANZRP, WEEE Electrocyclosis and Úrvinnslusjóður!In the last months three new members have joined the WEEE Forum: ANZRP (Australia and New Zealand), WEEE Electrocyclosis (Cyprus) and Úrvinnslusjóður (Iceland). Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP)
is our first non-European member. Through its programmes, and working collaboratively with their members, industry groups, all tiers of government and other interested stakeholders, ANZRP has driven sustained behavioural change in Australia for the last five years. WEEE Electrocyclosis Cyprus is the only producer compliance system for WEEE in Cyprus, established on the initiative of local industry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). Today, its shareholders include 363 companies, i.e. importers, retailers and CCCI. Electrocyclosis’ operations started in 2009 and is hopeful to collect up to 3,300t of WEEE in 2017. Úrvinnslusjóður, also known as Icelandic Recycling Fund, is involved in the organisation and financing, through a recycling fee, of WEEE, on behalf of the electrical and electronic equipment sector. The members of the board of Úrvinnslusjóður are appointed by the minister for four-year terms. Úrvinnslusjóður complies with the Icelandic transposition of the Directive, which entered force in 2006, in the context of Iceland's membership of the European Economic Area. ReVolv Project: presentation of the Trumaster-ALR, LCD recycling technology, 11 July 2017, Dublin.We take pleasure in announcing that the Trumaster-ALR, LCD recycling technology, has been manufactured, tested and is now ready to be presented. A Launch event will be held at the facilities of Allied Automation in Dublin, Ireland, on 11 July 2017 to present the machine. Demonstration days will take place in Denmark in September.
