Meeting Reminder - Thursday, June 12th

Derek Hankerson, Documentary Film Producer with Freedom Road Productions will be speaking in Lake City at the North Central Florida Tea Party meeting on June 12, 2014. Mr. Hankerson co-produced a film in 2012 entitled “The Underground Railroad, Florida’s Southern Route to Freedom”. This film won the National Association of Black Journalist’s Best Documentary and the Canadian Rising Star Award.
Mr. Hankerson will be speaking on “How the Tea Party is similar to the radical Republicans of the 1800’s”; He will focus on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 19th amendments as well as discussing the Civil Rights legislation of 1866, 1870, 1871, and 1875.
This is a crucial time in our country when all people should be coming together to work toward restoring our country back to the Constitutional Republic it was founded on. Please invite your friends and family to come hear Mr. Hankerson speak to us on this important subject! The North Central Florida Tea Party is a group of citizens who are concerned about where our nation is heading. We are a grassroots, nonpartisan group opposed to wasteful deficit spending and infringement of our natural rights. We meet at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Jackie Taylor Building located at 128 SW Birley Ave. This is on the corner of U.S. 90 and Birley Ave. approx. 3 miles west of the I-75 interchange. Additional Tea Party Meetings

Beginning on June 26th we will have 2 meetings per month (the 2nd & 4th Thursdays) We will be inviting candidates in from all of the races in Columbia & Suwannee Counties. After the August 14th meeting our board will meet and decide which candidates we are going to recommend. This will be published in the American Patriot News as well as other places. As you come and listen to the candidates, WE WANT YOUR INPUT! There will be a list of the board members on the back table with contact information at Thursday's meeting. . Please call or email and let us know what you think. We are also trying to set up a meeting where Ted Yoho and his republican opponent can attend. It is really important that we have good attendance at these meetings. The candidates need to know that we are actively trying to make the best decision, that we will get out and vote and then hold them accountable.

CVA Phone Banking - Tuesday, June 17th

We are working with Concerned Veterans for America to reach out to veterans on the issues that are affecting them. We are holding Phone Banking sessions on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Columbia County Library (downtown) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The next one with be on Tuesday, June 17th. There will be a sign up sheet at the meeting, or call John 386-935-1705 if you want to participate.

U.S. Senate Primaries

There are a few Senate Primaries left where we can make a difference. Cards will be on the back table at the meeting that list the remaining races and contact information – we are encouraging people to donate to the campaigns of Conservative candidates for the U.S. Senate.....one very important race will be the run-off election between Thad Cochran and Chris McDaniel. Chris McDaniel beat Thad Cochran in the initial primary but he needed 50% + 1 of the vote. There will be a run-off on Tuesday, June 24th. The North Central Florida Tea Party is a group of citizens who are concerned about where our nation is heading. We are a grassroots, non-partisan group opposed to wasteful deficit spending and infringement of our natural rights. We do have a well-defined and uniform slate of principles on which we center our advocacy and support for political candidates. These principles include, first and foremost, advocating for Essential Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free-enterprise, national defense, and traditional American values. Our goals are to educate ourselves on the issues facing us today, act on what we learn, and motivate other like-minded people to become involved. Find a way to become part of the solution instead of just complaining about the problems!
