Discover the art & soul of NSW

World-class art galleries where innovation leaps from the walls. Iconic theatres alive with music, movement and powerful storytelling. And colourful markets where locals share their inspiration – one stitch, paint stroke and flavour at a time. Wherever you wander, New South Wales’ creativity shines bright – so this week we’re exploring the experiences and hotspots that’ll energise your imagination all winter long.

As award-winning singer-songwriter Budjerah reveals in his Feelings Drop, the Harbour City’s thriving arts and culture scene ignites original thinking both on and off the stage. See where it takes yours by following his handpicked travel guide on your next city break, then let your curiosity lead you through our roundup of the season’s standout arts and culture attractions.

And the inspired surprises continue across the state, as you’ll discover when you venture west to Dubbo. Here, an eclectic mix of adventures – from artful immersions and stargazing  to wildlife safaris  and Wiradjuri tours – brings a slew of renewing perspectives.

Plus, as you’ll see in the Event Spotlight, the state’s jam-packed calendar keeps the sporting passions running high – from rugby’s titans clashing on 2 August to Australia’s top golfers getting ready to swing into spring. Enjoy!
