Save the date for our upcoming design eventThank You For Entering The 4th Bollington 10kThank you for entering the 2017 Bollington 10k. Bollington 10k is entering into its fourth successive year, a feat that couldn't be reached without your fantastic support. All money raised from the event is donated to Bollington Health & Leisure as it is a registered charity. Over the past 3 years the event has raised a combined total close to £11,000 which has been reinvested back in to the facility. Do you know anyone wanting to cheer you on but doesn't want to run? Why not get them to volunteer and spur you on along the way? Well, we are still looking for road marshals to help keep our event safe and free from traffic. Please contact us at reception@bollingtonleisure.co.uk if you know anyone interested. Once again, we would like to thank you for your support once again this year and we will see you on the 27th August 2017. Race Day Information Time: Arrive no later than 9:30am for a 10:00am start Location: Bollington Health & Leisure Parking: Tytherington Business Park – SK10 2XA /Bollington Health & Leisure (Spaces limited, see below) Registration: Bollington Health & Leisure Storage: Bollington Health & Leisure First Aid: Start/ Finish Line Parking Parking in Bollington can be tricky at the best of times. Although we have limited use of the parking at the nearby Tytherington Business Park and Bollington Health & Leisure, entries are still rising. For this reason we are advising wherever possible to walk if you’re local, buddy up, or even better get a lift on the day. For alternative parking please use the Business Park in Tytherington, Marshalls will be there to provide you with directions On Arrival Please ensure you leave enough time to find parking and make your way to Bollington Health & Leisure,Heath Road, SK10 5EX, no later than 9:30am where you can register and collect your race number. You will then be directed to the start line. We will not be setting off in waves as you may have experienced at larger runs, however if you are a less experienced runner or intend to walk the course please position yourself towards the back of the field. Storage Storage will be available at BHL. Although this will be manned items left here will not be secured so please only bring essentials and no valuables. First Aid There will be a dedicated First Aider based at the site (adjacent to the start/finish line) as well as many of the course marshals being first aid trained. Health and Safety Please ensure that you follow the instructions of the race orgasisers and course marshals. We have in place road closures towards the beginning of the course and all junctions along the route will be marshalled, however traffic still may be running along much of the route so the highway code does apply and please use the footpath if possible. Please also be aware that the entry to the Middlewood Way stage is via a short set of steps, so please take care here. Don’t forget your supporters Additionally, can we please encourage you to bring along your friends and family to cheer you along, there will be stalls supplying snacks, soft drinks and cakes. All money made for the sale of these items will be added to the charity pot!
Chip Timing This year we will be using a chip timing system, we ask you kindly to please deposit your timing chip in the boxes provided at the end of the run. The Bollington 10k Team
