Designing Multi-storey buildings

Header

A common question asked is: how many storeys can be designed using the ENDUROFRAME® system? The short answer is: it depends on many factors, but it is possible and sufficient information is provided in the ENDUROCADD® software and design manuals to design a multi-storey building. It does require a qualified engineer to calculate the loads and sign off on the finished design.

A key requirement is designing studs for non-standard loads. A detailed explanation of how to do this is located online.

Inaugural ENDUROFRAME® Conference

We are looking for expressions of interest from attendees for the inaugural ENDUROFRAME® Conference to held on Tuesday, 15th November 2016, in Wollongong, NSW. This will be held immediately after the NASH Conference which is also being held in Wollongong. The ENDUROFRAME® Conference will provide training, seek feedback on future software development priorities, and provide networking opportunities.

Please email Paul if you are interested in attending.

Updated 3D Viewer

Header

A new version of the ENDUROCADD® is now available so you can share your 3D files with builders, architects and other customers.

Best of all, it is available free of charge and can be downloaded from our website. Share this link with others so they can review designs in 3D.

This updated 3D viewer has many of the view/hide features available that are in the full version of ENDUROCADD® so the user can select what they want to see. It is also possible to output the viewed file into a 3D dxf which is fantastic for generating structural steel drawings, amongst other things.

  • Open jobs from zipped files. In the File -> Open Menu, any zipped ENDUROCADD® files in the jobs folder can also be seen.
  • To get the latest version of ENDUROCADD®, go to Options -> System Checks - Check for Updates. This check can be automated to checking on each startup, daily or weekly by adjusting the Check Update Frequency Option.
  • By popular demand it is now possible to add bent tabs almost anywhere including into top plates, under openings. This makes the bent tab a very versatile and cost effective component to tie down or even lift wall panels. This is available in the Tie Down menu in the Wall Editor.
  • You can speed up your use of ENDUROCADD® by using the function keys at the top of the keyboard. Go to Help -> Function keys for a list of function keys.
