Some highlights of our meeting included approving safety improvements for Aorangi Road and a landscape plan for the extension of the St Albans skate park. A pedestrian refuge island will be constructed on Aorangi Road in Papanui and a Give Way control installed at its intersection with Condell Avenue, and staff are continuing to look into safety improvements to Condell Ave around the same intersection. Starter skaters ready to roll into St Albans ParkBeginners will be able to join in the fun following a decision to extend a popular St Albans skate park. The Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board has approved the extension following feedback from local residents concerned that the park does not cater to beginner skateboarders and scooter users.
