The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC)'s Lunar New Year Gala 2026 will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Pier Sixty.

We are excited to announce our Honoree of the Year, Mr. Chang M. Liu, in recognition of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to community advancement.

Mr. Chang M. Liu is the President and CEO of Cathay Bank and Cathay General Bancorp. With over 30 years of experience in banking, he is recognized for his leadership in lending, operations, and community engagement. He also serves on several industry and civic boards, including the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco–Los Angeles Regional and Chairman of the Board for the American Cancer Society–CEOs Against Cancer. 

Becoming a sponsor or placing an ad in the CPC Lunar New Year Benefit Journal is a great way to pay tribute to the honorees, promote your business and celebrate with us. The deadline to submit an ad is this Friday, February 6th, 2026.
