Hi friends!

Today is a big day for this little newsletter. I'm tentatively introducing sponsors for the first time. I'm still trialling what the best approach is, so for the next four issues the sponsors you'll see here are not paying me anything to be featured. Instead, they agreed to give away a prize amongst our subscribers.

My first sponsor 'guinea pig' is magazine subscription service Stack, who is giving away one year worth of magazines to a lucky TMD subscriber. I'll randomly pick the winner soon – watch your inbox.

Feel free to send feedback regarding the sponsor slot by replying to this email. But enough talk about sponsors. Here's one article I think you should read this week. And now enjoy this issue of TMD!

This Weekʼs Line-Up

A burly backpack for the city & outdoors
01

Some of you might remember me speaking highly of my beloved Incase backpack that I bought seven or so years ago. I'm still a big Incase fan, but during my last NYC trip I fell in love with this Padagonia bag. It's a bit more spacious which makes it perfect for a hiking trip on the weekend too. It took me two weeks to decide (I hate owning too much stuff), but I don't regret investing in it. Their Corporate Responsibility page made my decision a little easier too.

A more beautiful Wikipedia
02

Wikiwand is a set of apps and browser plugins with one simple goal: to make Wikipedia more enjoyable and easier to navigate. You can even create your own themes!

A new type of camera
03

In case you avoid social media these days you may have missed the pre-launch of Light – a new mobile-size camera that lets you do all kinds of things your giant DSLR does not. Btw, this behind-the-scene video is much more insightful than their marketing short. Pre-orders start now. (And yes, it's expensive.)

A font manager for Mac OSX
04

Anyone regularly working with fonts on the Mac knows that managing a large font library is still a challenge. There's been numerous attempts of a lightweight yet feature-rich font manager in the past. I just disovered RightFont and I'm wondering if that's the tool we've been waiting for. It looks fantastic! (Pity there is no trial to give it a spin before committing $40.)

A hammock for your feet
05

This little under-the-desk hammock for your feet looks like a really bad idea for ergonomics, but I'm sure it's pretty damn comfortable. I'm wondering how I can make that work with my standing desk...

An iOS app to simplify and automate tasks
06

"Quickly capture information and take actions without hunting and pecking through a bunch of different apps." Love the idea behind this app! Make appointments, send money, create to-dos and much more by entering a few simple instructions into a textfield.

There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.
