Avadis NGS April 09, 2013

Catch us at the Bio-IT World Conference and Expo!

We are excited to be exhibitors at this year's Bio-IT World conference at Boston, MA. The expo has always been a great place for showcasing how information technology, informatics and biomedical/ drug discovery research go hand in hand. Come visit us at booth 427 from April 9th to the 11th and learn about several new features that Strand Life Sciences is planning to offer in the upcoming Avadis NGS release.

Avadis NGS Product Updates

The RnD team at Strand is working on the next version (v1.5) of Avadis NGS which is due for release mid-year. Here are some of the features we plan to unveil:

  • Introducing copy number analysis in the DNA-Seq workflow
  • Several pipeline workflows each for Alignment, DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq to be introduced
  • New SNP calling features such as SNP detection only in targeted regions and faster annotations with dbSNP
  • Showcasing an elastic genome browser with easy validation of biological phenomena spanning large or multiple genomic regions

New Tracks at Bio-IT World

We have always believed that data visualization is key to correct interpretation of outputs from complex data analysis algorithms. It is heartening to see an entire track at the conference devoted to this often neglected area. Avadis NGS has always featured some very intuitive data visualization and we rank it very high during product development.

If, like us at Strand, you are not only interested in the data analysis part of genomics but also in its application, stop by at the booth to learn more about our work in the area of Clinical Genomics. Also, catch Dana L. Abramovitz PhD., Senior Director for Scientific and Corporate Strategy at Strand Life Sciences, chairing the session on Software Spotlights for Clinical Omics on April 10th at 1:40 pm.

Meet us

We are always happy to find you answers to your NGS-related queries. So call John W. Talalas, VP Business Development, at 617-905-2800 or send him an email, or alternatively write to sales@avadisngs to set up a Q&A session with us at the booth. We look forward to seeing you there!
