Our Skin Care Club grows with new members every month, but I am always surprised to hear when a patient does not know about it. I can tell you this. If I did not work at Hull Aesthetics, I would be a member of our Skin Care Club. Here’s why:
Clearly, it's a no-brainer. The Emergence of Men in the Aesthetic World By: Colton Little To the common man, the world of cosmetic surgery, aesthetics, and skin care can seem frivolous and really unimportant. To most men, their skin is just something they live in and not something to obsess over. At Hull Dermatology and Aesthetics, we have seen a steady increase in the number of men who have come into our office to get aesthetic treatments and we could not be more thrilled! You might be thinking that this is a bunch of men who have been dragged into our office by their wives; however, if you are thinking that then you are only right a little less than half the time! But, that is not to say we have hundreds of men come onto our campus voluntarily looking to enhance their look and treat their skin. Yet, it still seems that there are tons of men who might scoff at the idea of nurturing and protecting their skin, as well as keeping it in tune. For most men, the idea of moisturizing our faces and applying several layers of body lotions is the farthest thing from our minds. Usually, we only notice it when the female counterparts in our lives get tired of looking at them and point them out to us. If we do notice it we usually just push it aside and think nothing of it, which is the WORST strategy to have when dealing with your skin. The skin is the largest organ in our bodies, which means that with more surface area there are more opportunities for growths, lesions, and the very real threat of skin cancer. Why would you brush off something so imperative to your well-being? It all comes back to that issue of masculinity and testosterone; most men perceive aesthetics just as Botox, plastic surgery, and other more “glamorous” cosmetic procedures. In truth, the line of work we do here at Hull is perfect for men who are looking to look and feel better in their skin. Men and women are not equal when it comes to skin care. Some conditions can affect women differently and often have hormonal causes. But, that doesn't mean that men do not experience the same skin issues. When you think about it, are we really that different? All people get wrinkles, all people are exposed to the sun, and all people have parts about their bodies they wish were different. For men, we usually want to appear more muscular, athletic, and toned; however, there are some that want to achieve that look of clean and youthful skin. Regardless, the men who are treated at our facility come out as happy and secure in their manhood as anyone. They just want to take good care of their skin and their bodies. To help this, we offer treatments such as CoolSculpting and Vanquish that can help reduce the amount of excess skin and fat in troublesome areas, as well as helping you achieve a very well-toned body. Whether the need is to find success in the romantic world or the business world, men want to look better. We have many products and treatments that can help! Some of the more common procedures we perform for men are removing hair on the chest and back, repairing skin with significant sun damage, alleviating skin pigment issues with reddened faces, and fixing broken blood vessels. Botox is also included as a common procedure and it is not JUST for women. With all of our injectable treatments, we have specific expertise that caters to the male gender and are made to enhance masculine features. The team at Hull Dermatology and Aesthetics is ready and able to help you, so if you have no reason to come in for anyone else’s sake, do it for your own! Everyone has their own insecurities and issues they dislike about their skin and our job is to make you feel like you! Only better! Stop by our office and schedule a complimentary consultation, or do some research at hullderm.com to find out more about all of the specific treatments we offer for men and women across NWA and the surrounding areas.
