Mary Street Parklet

One viewpoint that comes up over and over again in our workshops and surveys is the concern about the lack of sitting spaces in and around Beaufort Street.

Great news! The City of Vincent has just approved and will fund the construction of a parklet at the corner of Mary Street and Beaufort Street (under the big ficus tree near The Mary Street Bakery).  This is a great result for the street and will provide a new public space to sit, relax and watch the bustle of the street.  It will be a public space and open to everyone!

A lonely laneway seeking art!

Got a great idea for a mural or street art but no where to paint? Local residents and Beaufort Street Loiterers on Grosvenor Rd, Mt Lawley are seeking some artists or creatives to paint their back fence/wall which faces onto one of the laneways near Beaufort Street.

The idea or vision is up to you - with cost of art supplies to be reimbursed by the owners of the property. The area to be painted is about 16m in length, and 2.2m high, consisting of colorbond and brick wall.

If you're interested, please get in contact with the Beaufort Street Network team, with your potential ideas or work! The more wall murals in our precinct, the better!

Other opportunities are coming soon!

Please email us here at the team  on hello@beaufortstreet.com.au or contact Network Chair John Carey on 0400450399!
