iStart New Zealand

Hi there,

Back when LookSee launched the interest generated was hailed a success (go figure – a free all expenses trip to NZ was on offer), but nonetheless prompted a rant from NZTech boss Graeme Muller, who lamented that tech businesses complaining about staff shortages had failed to translate into serious offers of work.

Now, the 48,000 potential candidates/opportunistic tourists who signed up are being re-engaged with a revised programme. This time, however, they will need to stump up their own travel costs, and Wellington's taxpayers have been released of the funding burden.

We speak with the team behind LookSee Tech and see what is being done differently this time to encourage employers to embrace the programme.

  • The supercomputer saving the planet from a godly spot

We also hear from ChristchurchNZ about how it bolstered its business continuity with the quick implementation of a more stable, reliable financial management solution.

And if automation has you intrigued – will it really result in a workforce paid to be on holiday? – be sure to sign up for our free webinar with a live panel discussion on Automation Benefits and Risks, coming March 27.
