Hi there,

News that a vaccination passport for Australia is just weeks away was welcome news for some this week, but a cause of consternation for others.

The ‘passports’ have raised concerns among many for the potential privacy, equity, ethics and the potential for creep. That creep, or creepiness to some, is already being seen elsewhere, with the proof of vaccination, originally touted for international travel, now being extended to entry to sporting events and even bars in some countries.

It’s sure to be a heated debate, and one well worth having. While we’re all keen for ways to relax restrictions and open up border movements again, we do need to ensure digital certificates are a robust and equitable solution.

Enjoy the read,
