Click here Dear , NBN Co has apparently bought enough copper – yes, copper, not fibre – to run halfway around the planet – some 21,000 kilometres of copper in fact. That news this week prompted a fresh attack from Labor on the Turnbull government, with Labor decrying the fibre-to-the-node rollout, which uses copper for connection from cabinets to premises. While FTTN may be more cost effective, there are plenty of concerns that the technology can’t deliver speeds demanded by modern consumers. So it’s not surprising some are looking at 5G as a real option to provide at least a partial fix to Australia’s broadband woes.
