CPC Celebrates APIA Heritage Month

Asian/Pacific Islander American (APIA) Heritage Month began in the 1970s to celebrate Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. CPC proudly celebrated the rich history and contributions of the APIA community throughout the month of May with these events:

Delivering Meals, Hope, and Love

May is Older Americans Month. In honor of Older Americans Month, we highlight Ms. Ching, a CPC Open Door Senior Center Meals on Wheels participant and Mr. Lee, a driver for CPC Open Door Senior Center's Meals on Wheels program. After becoming homebound and falling into depression after the death of her only son, Mr. Lee became a lifeline for Ms. Ching. When asked why Ms. Ching is so special to him Mr. Lee said “It’s very simple, because she loves me and I love her back.”

Upcoming CPC Events

Recruitment for CPC Training Programs 

  • Foundations in Customer Service Training Program
    The training program begins early June 2017 and will run for three weeks. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, must have at least high school education or equivalent, know how to use a computer and must possess excellent communication skills.  
  • LVMH Fundamentals in Luxury Retail Training Program 
    The training program begins in late June 2017 and will run for ten weeks with a two week paid internship. Applicants must be be at least 18 years old, must have at least high school education or equivalent, bilingual, legally able to work in the United States, and are passionate about fashion and retail. 

Interested applicants must attend a CPC Workforce Development Information Session for necessary information and documents to apply. Dates are listed in "Upcoming CPC Events" above.
