Council approves design direction for CMUA
Christchurch City Council has approved a modified design direction for the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena, which will enable the project to move forward to the preliminary design phase.
“The design direction we have approved today provides a clear way forward and will result in Christchurch getting a fit-for-purpose covered arena befitting the largest city in the South Island,’’ says Mayor Lianne Dalziel.
Arena noise management rules sent to Minister
Planning rule changes to manage Canterbury Multi-Use Arena (CMUA) noise during concerts and large events have been sent for Ministerial approval after being accepted at the 10 June Council meeting.
