Click here November 2018 Potential Class action – dental corporatesFurther to the recent observations concerning dentists who have suffered serious breaches of contractual obligations by dental corporates we understand that a law firm dealing with a number of dentists is:- Chris Hansen Creagh Weightman Lawyers 179 Mary Street Brisbane QLD 4001 Ph (07) 3211 7766 Fax (07) 3211 7755 Separately we note that directors/managers of corporates dealing with mediation processes have used the excuse that “we weren’t the directors/managers who negotiated the contracts.” Sorry folks, a company can change directors and managers as often as it likes but it remains responsible for the contracts which were signed on its behalf by its directors who were in legal control of the company at that time or by managers under their control. There are plenty of signs that dental corporatisation is far from the bed of roses that the corporates would like to present it as. Those selling practices need to be very careful in respect of the contracts which they sign. They should not only take legal/accounting advice but seek out other dentists who have signed with the corporate concerned; but not dentists who the corporate recommends. Bitcoin melts down – panic ensues As at 26 November 2018 Bitcoin had fallen below $US4,000 having lost a third of its value in seven days and is a fraction of its peak value of $US20,000. Cryptocurrency miners who solve complex equations to generate new digital coins are reported to be turning off as prices fall. If the miners stop mining, Bitcoin will not function and the cryptocurrency market loss of confidence will turn into panic. According to research site CoinMarketCap the total market value of cryptocurrency stands at about $US130 billion, down from $US800 billion in January – wow. It reminds us of the Dutch tulip disaster, the South Sea bubble and the Poseidon boom collapse. Once confidence is pricked and a bubble deflates, it’s only a matter of time before it hits rock bottom. As computer banks which support the Blockchain get turned off Blockchain will turn into “Blocked Chain”.
