Police and Fire Joy Drive in Closing Swing
As Christmas Eve approaches, police officers, firefighters, city employees, dispatchers, police volunteers, local residents, the Mayor and members of the City Council are all busy wrapping and preparing gifts to be distributed to needy children and families throughout the city.
Santa's elves are busy but we still need your help!
Each year, for the past 16 years, the Joy Drive has provided gifts of all types for those less fortunate in order to help them enjoy the festive holiday season.
We are still accepting donations of new and unwrapped toys for children. They can be dropped off at any of a number of locations throughout Palm Beach Gardens until December 24th.

2017 Community Safety Campaign
The 10th Annual Community Safety Campaign to raise funds in support of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department began last week when residents and local businesses received a letter asking for their support once again in 2017. The theme of this year's campaign is "Every Dime Helps Fights Crime."
"We established the Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation in 2007 and have conducted a campaign every year since. We are very appreciative of the ongoing support we receive from a very caring community" said Tom Murphy, Foundation President. "As a result of these generous donations we are able to make significant grants to help support the equipment, ongoing training, and technology needs of our Police Department as well as to fund numerous community outreach and youth programs that build a positive relationship between the police department and the young people of our city. A tax-deductible gift is an Investment in a Safe City."
"Our organization is a not-for-profit entity with IRS 501(c)(3) status." Mr. Murphy said "That means that funds contributed by our residents and businesses are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. There are no paid employees, we do not engage any outside marketing organizations to solicit funds, and nearly 85% of all donations go to grants." For more
