Want some outdoor fun these school holidays?

Soak up the spring sunshine at Open Air PlayUP. The stunning Senate Courtyard is brought to life with giant lawn games, building blocks and teepees. Try your hand at giant connect four or curl up with one of our books in a teepee.

Open weekdays 10am to 5pm, 30 September – 11 October.

Craft in PlayUP

PlayUP

Get hands-on in PlayUP, a fun and interactive exhibition space for kids under five. Let your child’s imagination run wild in the role play Kindness Café, or spark creativity during PlayUP’s daily craft session – there’s a new theme explored each week.

Don’t miss the free craft activity daily from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. 

These school holidays, take a trip to the moon and craft your very own rocket. If you would prefer to keep your feet planted firmly on the ground, learn about sustainability by building sustainable houses out of recycled materials.

Imagine how you can change the world in DressUP, a hands-on exhibition space for school-aged children. Try on costumes inspired by the iconic outfits of Beyonce, Malala, Dr Karl and more.

Connect with their lives as you discover the challenges they overcame to make a difference in the world. As you explore the stories of the world’s most inspirational people, think about how you can use your voice to change the world.

Twilight Zone at OPH

Twilight Zone kicks off Friday 4 October at 5.00pm in the transformed Old Parliament House courtyard.

Embrace that golden hour of an afternoon in an activated space with exciting beverage partners, music and snack-y foods.

Join the Twilight Zone every Friday where drinks taste better, stars sparkle brighter and conversions flow freely.

Out and Loud Festival

Out and Loud Festival

LGBTIQ+ choirs from all over Australasia will perform in Canberra’s cultural institutions as part of the Out & Loud festival.

Join us for a free performance by two choirs in the stunning House of Representatives Courtyard while enjoying a beverage during our, Twilight Zone summer drinks at Old Parliament House.

Love is in the Air at MoAD

Until 13 October, MoAD is showcasing the love stories that took place in the heart of Australian politics from the 1930s until 1988.

Go on the Love Is In The Air tour through the iconic Old Parliament House and discover some of the greatest love stories in Australian history.

New at the Little Corner Shop

MoAD's Little Corner Shop

Do you feel that the art of letter writing has disappeared? Now MoAD is bringing it back.

The Little Corner Shop is now stocked with special letter writing kits. These writing kits, which are handmade in the Blue Mountains, are made using recycled paper, so your letter writing won’t have an impact on the planet.
