April 2017

CEO'S UPDATE

Welcome to the April edition of Docklines.

Its been a month of up's and down's in the marine industry this month. Cyclone Debbie was devastating for our friends on the Whitsundays, leaving a fierce clean up in its wake. Like all Australians though, they've rallied together and are back servicing guests and tourists and turning on the sunshine.

Equally devastating, Lisa Blair's record breaking attempt sadly came to an end just off Cape Town, South Africa. After spending some time on shore for repairs, Lisa will be finishing her journey and we look forward to seeing her at home.

In better news, the Sail Port Stephens regatta, now in its 10th year, was again hosted by D'ALBORA Marinas Nelson Bay and by all accounts was an oustanding success. Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to next year.

Also marking a significant anniversary, Sydney International Boat Show will be celebrating 50 years this year. We're looking forward to seeing you there 3 - 7 August 2017.

And in D'ALBORA Marinas news, I'm happy to report that the redevelopment at Akuna is well underway and on track. With almost all new marina arms finished and work beginning on the fuel wharf, we expect to be completed by mid May.

If you haven't already had a look at the new marina please make some time to visit, it is well worth it.
