Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, DoorDash

Tony Xu is the CEO and co-founder of DoorDash, a technology company passionate about transforming local businesses and dedicated to enabling new ways of working, earning, and living.

Born in China, Tony came to America with his parents and grew up working in his mom’s restaurant. He started DoorDash to help small business owners succeed. 

DoorDash is a technology company that connects consumers with their favorite local and national businesses in more than 4,000 cities and all 50 states across the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Founded in 2013, DoorDash enables local businesses to address consumers’ expectations of ease and immediacy and thrive in today’s convenience economy. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, DoorDash is bringing communities closer, one doorstep at a time.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, DoorDash has provided direct commission relief to its restaurant partners, distributed free PPE and other support to it's Dasher community, and invested nearly $10M in direct grant relief to restaurants and their workers. 

DoorDash is partnering with CPC to address food insecurity among underserved communities in New York City.
