PH Kindergarten eNews

It is getting closer to Christmas day! We have been reading Christmas books and doing Christmas crafts this week. We look forward to sharing what we have learned about Christmas in France in Chapel next week.

Next Week

  • Show and Tell: None
  • Bible: Early Life of Christ
  • Bible: “And Jesus grew in wisdom, and in stature, and in favor with God and men.” - Luke 2:52 
  • Reading: Soft /th/ and /qu/ sounds and guided reading
  • 1st Nine Weeks Sight Words: I, see, a, on, and, has, the, for, no, is, of, go, in, his
  • New Sight Words: put, her, he, she, to, help, can, not, too, stop, are, out, they, saw, look, them, be, was
  • Math: the 90 number family, 4 addition fact family, counting to 100

Important Dates

  • December 17th: International Christmas Chapel (We will video this and send out a link for families.) 
  • December 18th: Christmas sweatshirt, t-shirt, or sweater dress-up day for $1 to benefit Baptist Global Relief. Christmas Party (Parents will not be able to attend). Early dismissal at 1:00pm, no Extended Care.

Reminders

  • If a student does not have a mask, $1 will be charged for a disposable.
  • Don't forget to donate hats, mittens, scarves, and gloves to benefit the Children's Advocacy Center. 
  • Since the weather is cool, make sure your child's change of clothes is weather appropriate and that s/he has a jacket or coat daily. If it is not raining or wet, we will go outside for recess as long as the "feels like" temperature is 40 degrees or more.
