Giving Tuesday

Help build a hogan in Navajoland

Literally translated, hogan means “place home,” and the Navajo take their identity from it.

This Giving Tuesday, help build a hogan in Navajoland.

On December 2, 2014, The Episcopal Church will participate in the global charitable event Giving Tuesday.

The need is urgent to build six new hogans for ceremonial, educational, and spiritual purposes since many hogans on the reservation have been damaged or destroyed by harsh weather and decaying materials.

The goal: to raise $240,000 to build six hogans – two each in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
