From tomorrow, Thursday will be located at 80 Albion Street, Surry Hills. It’s just down the road from where we are now, but it’s a long way from where we started. Formerly a Catholic church, our studio has been carefully designed to respect the site’s existing historical features. A minimalist approach and light colour palette allow the building’s stained glass windows to be a focal point of the space. We really like it, and we hope you will too. Please drop in for a cold crisp beer if you’re in the area.

Next week, former Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton is making her first appearance in Australia and New Zealand since the US presidential election. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear about Clinton’s personal experience as the first woman nominated for president by a major party. Discover what she was feeling and thinking during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in American history. Thursday has been working with longstanding client The Growth Faculty to promote this extraordinary event. Tickets can be purchased here but be quick, there are only a few still available.

We’ve rebranded one of Sydney’s most iconic venues – the Greengate Hotel, or ‘the Greenie’, as locals have called it for generations. This longstanding pub is undergoing a refurbishment including a new restaurant, named Greengate Terrace, and a modernised front bar. The hotel has been, and always will be, a central meeting place for the North Shore community. We’ve loved the opportunity to design a reinvigorated brand identity, menu range, glassware, coasters and stationery for one of our, and Sydney’s, favourite pubs. Greengate Terrace opens 14 May. We’ll see you there.

We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with talented designer Clare Barrett. Thursday enticed the Australian-born designer to return from Singapore where she was based for the last 12 months. Clare will be responsible for identity design, corporate literature and digital media in her new role with us. We’re confident friends of Thursday will like Clare as much as we do.
