A great year will soon be coming to an end. We want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the trust you have placed in us, not to mention the outstanding spirit of cooperation that distinguishes our customer relationships. Our aspiration is to continue striving to ensure full customer satisfaction.
During 2015 we set a number of important milestones: meteocontrol took a major step in attaining more customer proximity by establishing the new sister company in Shanghai in response to the growing needs of the Asian market. Our customers in the USA and Canada are also benefiting from improved service thanks to the relocation of our subsidiary mc North America to new offices in Chicago with Dr. Daniel Faltermeier managing operations there. And our active participation in a large number of international trade fairs has expanded the global reach of our company, enabling us to enter new markets around the world.
We will begin the new year by launching new functions for the blue‘Log X-Series that support direct marketing for systems in all performance classes, and the expansion module MX-Module GPRS will also be available. Launching new features for VCOM is a mainstay of our development work, and we are proud to introduce you to many new innovations in this issue of our newsletter.
Our newsletter topics at a glance:

WEB’log Series: new drivers and software modifications
We wish you and your employees a joyous holiday season along with good luck, good health and much success in 2016! We are looking forward to working with you on many exciting projects in the coming year.
Your meteocontrol team
VCOM: Innovation by Experience
Our products set the standards for PV monitoring. In the coming year we will take the following approach to VCOM: Innovations will be introduced at regular intervals so that we can set new accents and constantly optimize the Virtual Control Room in line with your specific needs. We are thus starting a new series in this newsletter: In 2016, every release will have an outstanding additional feature. You can look forward to heat maps for comparing inverters, a performance ratio for every inverter, individual alarms with simpler configuration options, and much more!
"Innovation by Experience" is our motto: We leverage our experience to develop innovative solutions that respond to your ideas, needs and suggestions. In the current release for December we are launching a VCOM innovation known as cycling: At preset intervals all the systems in your portfolio will be sequentially loaded into the portlets.
This feature is ideal for control rooms – VCOM in this illustration – and can also have an "advertising effect" on external displays, for example, if used on displays installed in the reception area at your company site.
More transparency: display of release information
In the VCOM footer you will now find the "Release Information" button. Here you have the option of reading individual releases, and you have an overview of the new features and optimizations that have been added.
All systems at a glance: energy comparison graphic available in VCOM
The energy comparison graphic as used in the safer'Sun portal can now be used flexibly in the VCOM portlets. To compare the performance of your systems, specific energy yields are displayed as a bar graph. The following time intervals can be selected: day, week, month and year. You will find the graphic at park level in the "Park Diagram" portlet.
Optimization of navigation for the VCOM evaluation area
The evaluation area is a central element for visualizing your system data. With just one click, the new release lets you go directly from the control center to the evaluation area, where the navigation has been modified: The individual diagrams can be accessed quickly and easily using the selection section on the left side – just as you would do in the safer’Sun portal.
