FROM TIBET TO TASMANIAHere at BOFA, we pride ourselves on being an ideas festival. One that is both international in outlook and proudly Tasmanian at the same time. Need proof? On the 29th of April, we are proudly supporting the inaugural Tibetan Film Festival celebrating spiritual pursuits, Buddhism, Tibetan food, monks and Himalayan mountain stories.
We have also officially opened the 2023 'Inspiring Change' Short Film Competition looking for Tasmanian and Australian short films showcasing stories that inspire change on a personal, community or global level. Stories of inspiring individuals and movements that have or are trying to make the world a better place. And that’s just for starters, so keep your eyes peeled for even more exciting announcements throughout the year.
2023 'INSPIRING CHANGE' SHORT FILM COMPETITION
The competition is open to any Australian filmmaker, young or old. Entries are now open and close on 16th July. Judges will select their best shorts which we screen online during August so that YOU can decide the People’s Choice. All shortlisted films will also be screened during the BOFA Film Festival and on Sept 2, winners and the People’s Choice will be announced at the BOFA Short Film Awards night.
