Springtime and a new season starts

We've had a busy few weeks at Bosinver, spring cleaning all the cottages ready for Easter and the start of a whole new season.  There's so much to look forward to this year  - Dave and the team are making good progress with the pool and we have some new special events planned - nature walks, art events and an expanded Wild Kids programme.

New Bosinver Gold loyalty scheme

Did you know that around 70% of Bosinver’s guests have stayed with us before? We love to welcome old friends back time and time again, so after much thought we have decided that  it is time for a revamp of our discount offers to reward our most loyal guests.

From 31st March 2013 onwards guests who have stayed with us 3 or more times will still be entitled to the Bosinver Family 5% discount (BOSINVERFAMILY entered in the coupon code box at the time of booking) - but now, as an extra special reward, those people staying with us 10 or more times (and yes, there are quite a few of you!) will qualify for our Bosinver Family Gold 10% discount! Spring events in Cornwall

There are so many great events to look forward to in Cornwall this Spring.  Here's just a few of them:

• Trereife Easter Food & Craft Fair Penzance 29 March-1 April - tours of Trereife House, local chef’s demonstrations, a delectable selection of locally produced food and drink, exquisite art and crafts, children’s Easter Egg Hunt and live music. 

• Annual Oyster Gathering 2013 Falmouth 29 March-1 April - join the local oyster men on their last weekend of the season and sample fresh seafood cooked by local and internationally recognised chefs.

• Tall Ship Sailing Experience Falmouth 29 March-1 April - book your place for a special sailing trip on a Tall Ship! The 'Mercedes' will be visiting Falmouth, offering day-sails. No previous sailing experience required.

• Cornwall Spring Flower Show Boconnoc Lostwithiel 6/7th April - a fragrant celebration of Cornish garden mania. Exuberant displays with camellias, daffodils, rhododendrons guaranteeing a colourful spectacle at the Boconnoc Estate.

• Porthleven Food Festival Helston 20th April  Excellent food festival hosting the very best of Cornish food producers alongside fantastic entertainment including live bands, buskers, dancers + performance artists.
• Tregothnan - Charity Open Weekend Truro 20th/21st April - Lord Falmouth opens up his Tregothnan estate to the public in aid of charity. With it’s rare plant collections, tea plantations, sweeping vistas and peaceful secluded groves on the banks of the beautiful river Fal, Tregothnan is a hidden gem...

Looking ahead to 2014

Many of our regular guests have already been asking about booking ahead in 2014 to ensure they can stay in their favourite cottage. We have just set our 2014 tariff so booking for both 2013 and 2014 are now available live on our website - just click on Book Now at the top of the homepage.   

Several of our cottages have had a complete makeover - Polclay now sleeps 4 with a more spacious open plan lounge and new kitchen, plus the addition of gas central heating; Veronica and Cherry (below) have also been refurbished throughout. Lookout for some new photos on our website very soon. A small increase in prices for 2014 was inevitable given our year on year investment in the cottages and provision of new facilities such as our forthcoming indoor pool.  We do believe however that, given the quality of our cottages and the range of activities we provide at no extra charge, we remain competitive - we know from guest feedback that families can be entertained here without leaving Bosinver all week!  We really hope that you will continue to appreciate all that Bosinver has to offer - and why we have been rated best self catering, not only in Cornwall, but the whole of the South West - and now possibly even the whole of England...   

Visit England awards - we're in the finals!

STOP PRESS - we've just heard that Bosinver have made it through to the national finals of the Visit England Awards! We have won either Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Recommended in the self catering catergory, but we will only find out for sure at the awards ceremony to be held on 20 May at Old Trafford Manchester - so Dave's tuxedo will be making it's third appearance this year!  Watch out for further announcements on our facebook page Holidays in Cornwall and twitter @Bosinver - fingers crossed!
