Please do not power off equipment in computer labs and teaching rooms managed by Information Technology Services. OneMassey collaboration sites work best on Internet ExplorerHeavy users of OneMassey collaboration sites, such as team sites and project sites, may wish to set their default browser to Internet Explorer (IE) on Windows computers. Staff with Windows 10 computers in particular will find their default browser, Edge, has compatibility issues with OneMassey. Please ensure you have submitted your software requests for computer labsEvery year before Summer School, Information Technology Services (ITS) removes all non-standard software from lab computers to keep lab computers up-to-date, clean and secure. ITS only re-installs software requested by Paper Coordinators. If you teach with non-standard software in computer labs and you haven't submitted your software requests for Summer School 2016 and all teaching in 2017, please do so immediately. As part of this year's refresh, computers have been upgraded from Windows 7 with Office 2010 to Windows 10 with Office 2016. Staff may need to reset their desk phones manually on 14th of JanuaryPlanned maintenance on Friday, 13th January will affect Lync/Skype for Business services and desk phones in particular. Reminder: New computers will have Windows 10 instead of Windows 7Staff ordering new computers should check the list of software that has been tested on Windows 10 before placing their order to see if the software they require is compatible with Windows 10. Staff can ask for access to a Windows 10 computer to test any unlisted software by contacting the ITS Service Desk.
