Regional stakeholders and the SA Tourism Commission have mapped out opportunities for tourism growth with the release of the 12 Destination Action Plans (DAPs).
The SA Tourism Commission says the DAPs are outcome-focused plans detailing specific projects that will return maximum tourism growth within a particular region.
Projects cover development, marketing and events-based activities. Each project has been identified by the Tourism Commission as realistically able to progress within the next three years.
Progress reviews for DAP projects will be held every six months by the Tourism Commission.
