Wishing Our Seasonal Residents a Wonderful Summer
As spring winds down, many of our seasonal residents have headed
north for the summer months. While things may be a bit quieter
around Eagleton, we're grateful for the time we shared this past
season and wish everyone safe travels and a relaxing, enjoyable
summer.
From casual chats on morning walks to shared moments at events and
gatherings, your presence adds so much to the spirit of our
community. We'll miss the energy, friendship, and warmth you bring
— but we know fall will be here before we know it, and with it,
your return.
For those spending summer up north, we hope the months ahead are
filled with great weather, time with family and friends, and a few
well-deserved adventures. If you have any photos or stories to
share from your travels, we'd love to hear from you!
Meanwhile, for those of us here year-round, we'll keep things
going and continue looking after the community we all enjoy.
Until we're together again in the fall, know that you're missed —
and that we're already looking forward to seeing you back in
Eagleton.
Quiet-Season Projects
While summer is typically a quieter time in Championship, it's
also when we tackle many of the small but important upkeep
projects that help keep our community looking its best. Over the
next several months, we'll be enhancing the landscaping near the
Reclinata Circle, particularly on the side nearest the Master
community, with updated plantings and improved curb appeal.
You may also notice selected pressure washing underway in
high-traffic areas, especially near the guardhouse, where oil
and fluid stains have accumulated on the asphalt and paver
tiles. These will be cleaned to restore a fresh, well-kept
appearance.
We'll also be touching up signage throughout the community and
repainting the black poles that support them — small details
that make a big difference in maintaining a polished look.
These efforts may not be flashy, but they demonstrate that
Championship is being actively maintained year-round, even when
many of our seasonal residents are away.
Hurricane season officially begins on June 1 and runs through
November. While we hope for a quiet season, preparation is key.
Here are some simple steps you can take today:
-
Review your emergency plan: Know your evacuation route and local
shelter options.
-
Check your supplies: Stock up on water, non-perishables,
medications, and batteries.
-
Inspect your property: Trim trees, secure outdoor items, and
check shutters or impact windows.
-
Stay informed: Sign up for alerts from the Town and follow
trusted weather sources.
-
Review insurance coverage: Make sure your policies are up to
date.
Don't wait until a storm is in the forecast. A few small steps now
can make a big difference later.
Remember: If you see something...
