Happy Anti-Valentines Day! This February, we're getting on the other side of the hype, and recognising the tough times experienced by young people struggling with tough relationship situations in our latest campaign "It's not me - It's you!".
A lot of changes have been happening in the ReachOut Pro professionals network over January, with refreshed content and resources across the ReachOutPro.com.au site. This month, we are turning our focus to the barriers to help-seeking, and how we can support young people's mental health as youth service professionals. We want your perspectives in this - so see below for ways you can share your experience and insights!
Remember - youth mental health is something we all have a role in. The ReachOut Pro network is open to all professionals who want to know more about how to support young people's mental health and mental health help-seeking, including youth workers, social workers, nurses and other referring practitioners! Help us break down the barriers to help-seeking!
Over 70% of young people with mental health disorders DON'T seek professional help for their mental health difficulties - up to 80% among young men. With help-seeking an important protective barrier against suicide, it's vital we understand the barriers to help-seeking for young people, and how youth support workers and health professionals can contribute.
We've opened up a new discussion forum, where health professionals and youth service providers can share their insights on how to break down the barriers to mental health help seeking.

It's not me - it's YOU! The other side of Valentines Day
Break-ups can be hard times for anyone - but particularly for those already struggling with mental health difficulties. This Valentines Day, ReachOut.com is recognising the harder side of relationships by launching a campaign that's all about getting over break-ups.
We're inviting young people to share their advice for getting over tough breakups, as part of a Facebook competition in which they can win one of two Red Balloon vouchers! We're also publishing new resources and facilitating online discussion sessions to support young people at all stages of relationships.

Using MoodGym - Online CBT program for depression
Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy programs can be a powerful tool for people to develop understanding and learn vital skills for managing and moving beyond difficulties such as anxiety or depression - and are shown to be similarly effective to face-to-face CBT programs.
In our latest webinar, Dr. Suvena Sethi talks about the research evidence behind MoodGym - one of the most prominent and peer-reviewed online CBT programs. Watch this and other presentations about using technology in the new Webinars section of ReachOutPro.com.au
