Have YOUR say on how lockdown has affected you for the chance to win £500, our songwriting competition and lots more opportunities for young people.

Hi !

Surveys, competitions and more!

July might be the start of the summer holidays but it's looking like there's a lot young people can get involved in at The Jack Petchey Foundation...

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE: THE JACK PETCHEY
COVID-19 YOUTH SURVEY

This week, we launched our COVID-19 Youth Survey to hear directly from young people their experience of the lockdown, what they want for the "new normal" and what support they think young people will need in the future.

What's in it for me?

PRIZES: Every young person who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw for £500 for themselves and up to £1000 for their school/youth group.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE: We will use the survey results to raise young people’s voices to the public, media and decision makers as well as using your thoughts to help us shape our programmes for 2021 and beyond.

How do I do it?

Click the link below and fill out the survey. It takes around 10 minutes and will automatically enter you into our prize draw!

Our latest Community Award winners!

Kiah the speedy PPE-maker from Hammersmith and Fulham

Nominated by three people, Kiah was well-deserving of her Community Award.

One of her nominators said: “Kiah volunteered at the local walk-in centre next to school to prepare some personal protective equipment (PPE) packs for the NHS nurses that were working in the community... Kiah prepared well over 500 in the first few days... Her actions to help and provide this service in the community during the early days of the pandemic is indeed admirable especially given the uncertainty at the time regarding exams and when schools would reopen.”

Molly is showing compassion to Hospice patients in Havering

From checking in with patients to organising their meals and drinks, everything Molly does at the Hospice is with kindness and a smile on her face.

Her nominator said: “During COVID19, when she has been unable to attend University, Molly has spent her time at the hospice assisting on the inpatient ward. In one particular week Molly worked 8 shifts which is incredible for a young person. The people she is caring for are people at the end of life, they so appreciate her smiley face and kindness, as do their families.”

Do you want to be a Wallball School? Applications now OPEN!

We’re delighted to be launching the next phase of our wallball project, and we want your school to be part of it. We’re offering launch packages and funding for several schools to take up and develop wallball.

This highly inclusive sport sees young people playing by hitting a ball against a wall with their hands (you may already know it as handball or patball), and designing their own street art to decorate the walls.
