Click here Dr. Tony Wang is an accomplished neurologist and academic leader, currently serving as the Vice Chair and Associate Professor of Neurology at Maimonides Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn. Additionally, he also serves as the Medical Director of the Jaffe Comprehensive Stroke Program and NIR/NES Fellowship Director at Maimonides. Dr. Wang holds quadruple-Board certifications in General and Vascular Neurology, Neuroimaging, and NeuroEndovascular Surgery. He received his medical degree in China, followed by a Ph.D. in Human Genetics and multiple research fellowships focusing on molecular biology and neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. This was followed by his clinical Neurology residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center where he also served as a Neurology Chief Resident before pursuing several clinical fellowship trainings at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Wang is an active member of various professional organizations including serving as a Board Member for the Chinese American Neurological Association and a member of the Core Executive Committee of the Mission Thrombectomy Global Access initiative of Society of Vascular & Interventional Neurology.
