Traffic Changes: Powers and Constitution, Week of Sept. 2

Beginning this week, several temporary traffic changes are underway or planned as the construction of a new water pipeline on Constitution Avenue nears completion. Motorists are asked to be alert for these temporary traffic changes, including:

• Westbound Constitution will reduce to one lane west of Powers Boulevard during the week of Sept. 2, including potential night work.
• Westbound Constitution traffic lanes will shift slightly just east of Powers to allow construction of a drainage structure. This work is expected to last four weeks.
• The right turn lane from northbound Powers to eastbound Constitution will be closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for drainage work. Motorists in vehicles other than trucks will be able to turn right after a stop sign at that location. Large trucks should use alternate routes, including Waynoka Drive just south of Constitution. Note that this closure may reopen periodically based on construction activities.
