PRIMROSE HILL RE-MODEL AND EXTENSION Such was the extent of this five storey re-model that at one point on opening the front door one could see all the way up to the sky and across all four floors to the basement. From the initial client meeting the design team aspired to completely re-orientate the spatial flow of the home-maximising its relationship to the rear and the incredible mature wooded view. Three new stairways and a new top floor have been constructed. Extending the ground floors outward creates two vast living spaces which span the entire length of the building. Salvaged etched glass panels become decorative. A theme for throughout the house-variously creating privacy or allowing natural light flow. Panga panga parquet creates an intense formality to main entertaining and entrance space. Wire brushed oak wood strip is forgiving, comfortable and light allowing for the kitchen level. All three bedroom floors wanted a relaxed summer bare-foot feel with painted pine boards.
