2nd Grade eNews

We have learned a lot about spiders and insects this week – be sure and ask your child all about it!

• Bible – We will be studying in Numbers 12 about respect for authority. On Friday, we will listen to all Ten Commandments. The students are doing great with their memorization!
• Reading – Our skill this week will be over Story Structure. We will be looking for any problems and how the problems were solved in the story. Our story will be “Teacher’s Pets.”
• Spelling – We will be working on consonant blends with r, l, & s. Here are the words for this week: spin   clap   grade   swim   place   last   test   skin   drag   glide   just   stage  sound take
• Grammar – Learning the difference between singular and plural nouns
• Math – Place value with 10 or more, decade numbers, even and odd numbers, expanded form, and 10 more and 10 less. Please use flash cards with your child to learn the addition facts and subtraction facts to 20.

We are hosting our 1st VIP Alumni Tailgate on Friday, October 12th from 5-7pm before the Football Homecoming Game. Come and enjoy great food, family entertainment, free admission to the game and an alumni tshirt!
