No Images? Click here Barnard College Update - Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018Dear Claremont resident: We hope you enjoyed the winter break and are looking forward to the start of the classes next week. We'd like to update you on our plans as we begin this semester. If you are going through the Barnard campus between Broadway and Claremont Avenue, you will notice the North-South Walkway is closed due to landscaping work occurring on the Lawn. The Walkway should reopen next Tuesday, Jan. 16, when classes resume. As work continues on the Lawn over the next few weeks, you may encounter periodic closings of the North-South Walkway, but these should only be for a few minutes at a time. In addition, you may have noticed this week that we removed the hoist that was located on the Claremont side of The Milstein Center Tower. This Saturday and Monday, Jan. 13th and 15th, the construction team will be chopping and removing the pad where the hoist resided. As a result, you may hear some additional noise these two days. Going forward this semester, most of the work will occur on the inside of the building, with the exception of the landscaping program and the installation of the stone, windows and panels on the ground floor along Claremont. Schedule The schedule continues to be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Questions? For general questions and comments, please email me at newbuilding@barnard.edu.
