India’s Muslim Personal Law allows Muslim men to divorce their wives by saying the word talaq three times – in person, via text or by social media. Now the Indian Supreme Court is reviewing the practice, in response to women activists who want the whole of Muslim Personal Law, and both Hindu and Muslim religious groups have joined the fray.
