If you’ve never had a chance to see what happens here at MVCC on a typical Wednesday night, or if you’d just like to come spend the evening with your student at WOW, then join us tonight, starting at 6:30 in "The Pit." We're in week two of a 5-week sermon series called “SHINE”. Patrick and the kids have been studying 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set the example to all believers in your SPEECH, in CONDUCT, in LOVE, in FAITH, and in PURITY. 

Patrick’s main point for the night is "Your Calling Will Never Exceed Your Character." He will also speak briefly on the new television show “13 Reasons Why” and how we are called to honor God in our actions; what we do (or watch) behind closed doors actually matters. After the message, parents are welcome to join in on their gender specific Family Groups.

Starting this weekend (April 22nd and 23rd), registration opens for Gadgets & Gizmos day camp for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. Here, we experience how each of us are uniquely wired and wonderfully made! Come down to the lower lobby Saturday or Sunday to sign up, or online at our website, mvccfrederick.com. Adult and youth volunteers are also needed and can sign up in the lower lobby this weekend too, or just click here. Day camp will be held June 19th-23rd, from 9am-12:15pm.  Questions? Child Dedication Services

Each year, many parents dedicate and commit themselves to raising their children in the ways of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, during a selected service weekend. This year, our child dedication services will be on Mother's Day weekend: Saturday, May 13th at 6:00pm, and Sunday, May 14th at 9:15 & 11:00am. This year we are asking parents to attend a parent-equipping class before their children can be dedicated.  This class will equip and inform parents on child dedication, and will be offered two different days and times: May 3rd at 6:30pm, and May 7th at 12:30pm. If you are interested in the child dedication, we ask that you sign up for the class by emailing the church office at office@mvccfrederick.com. If you have questions about child dedication, the classes, or anything regarding parenting, please contact Pastor Adam at pastoradam@mvccfrederick.com.

Ladies, we just kicked off our new 6-week Bible study, Faithful, Abundant, True: Three Lives Going Deeper Still. The Bible study will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Here are the remaining dates for each session: 4/25, 5/2, (no class 5/9), 5/16, 5/23, and 5/30. During these studies, Kay Arthur will be teaching from the book of Hebrews, Priscilla Shirer from Ephesians on God's abundance, and Beth Moore instructs on the topic of discernment. Season Opener

It's time to play ball!  The MVCC Men's Softball team swings into the 2017 season this Friday, April 21st, opening with a game against our brethren from New Hope. First pitch is 8:30pm at Pinecliff Park, Field #3. Come on out and cheer the guys on.

Here's a great opportunity to honor the memory of Mountain View Community Church member Stephen Bon while helping his family. Stephen passed unexpectedly earlier this year, so a trust fund is being established in conjunction with a special golf tournament to assist his children. Divorce Care

Divorce Care is a weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. The group meets in the church conference room on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00.
