Welcome to the April RESA eNews.

April has been a eventful month with the first [DEVELOP] seminar for the PACE Supply Chain Development Program which RESA is delivering to a group of proactive businesses, the SAREIC conference and SACOME's Annual Resources Industry Dinner.

RESA attended the SAREIC conference - it had a good buzz and insights into some great projects coming up. See links to presentations and companies that filled the program below.

Congratulations to the award winners announced at the Resources Industry Dinner. Both the Premier's Community Excellence Awards in Mining and Energy and the inaugural South Australian Resources Industry Awards were presented.   

A special congratulations to Mechvac Engineering who received a High Commendation for the Ocean Partners Commercial Achievement Award. Mechvac is attending the [DEVELOP] sessions and continuing to build their innovation culture which has led to business success.

China trade mission results in SA agreement with China Railway Group - world's 2nd largest infrastructure company.

The State Government signed an agreement on April 5 with the China Railway Group to work together on pursuing investment opportunities in South Australian projects – particularly around mining.

Congratulations to Cowell Electric

Cowell Electric was awarded a 5 year contract to supply energy to off-grid SA communities.

RESA are proud to have Sue Chase, Cowell Electric, Managing Director as a valued board member.

 

WPG Resources committed to Challenger gold mine

WPG Resources have announced they expect to restart the Challenger gold mine in far west South Australia by the end of the financial year after finalising its acquisition.

Welcoming Investigator resources to Adelaide

Investigator Resources have completed the move of their head office to Adelaide. Investigator now plans to focus on South Australia as a vibrant and resurging minerals frontier.

Havilah Resources reports gold mining success

Mining of the north pod high grade gold ore layer has been completed at the Portia gold mine, northeast of Broken Hill. The project was completed 3 and a half months earlier than originally scheduled.
