Roche supports Bio-X cancer diagnostics project

Liquid Biopsy AB, a spin-off from Karolinska Institutet, has through the BioX-program signed an agreement with the global pharmaceutical and diagnostics company Roche. Liquid Biopsy has developed a test method to improve cancer diagnostics that will pave the way for better cancer treatment. Thanks to the agreement Liquid Biopsy receives support to develop a new sample enhancement method.

Towards the most innovation-driven economy

Innovationskraft Stockholm, a County Administrative Board initiative, is moving forward. Since this summer's launch of the regional innovation strategy,  the project has entered a new phase focusing on the action plans.

The goal of the innovation strategy is to make Stockholm the world's most innovation-driven economy in 2025. To achieve this position, five focus areas have been chosen: Research and Innovation infrastructure, Innovation procurement, Capital procurement, Interdisciplinary and Global attractiveness.

Registrations are now open for AIMday Sustainable Solutions for Cities

With a rapidly growing urban population, cities and surrounding areas are facing major challenges. Due to the concentration of production and consumption activities, cities contribute to a large part of the global emissions of greenhouse gases and to air and water pollution. At the same time, cities offer great opportunities to implement new innovations and solutions that can contribute to the transformation to become more sustainable in the future.

KTH is organizing AIMday® Sustainable Solutions for Cities in Stockholm May 15, 2013. By matching companies need for new knowledge and their questions with academic expertise, AIMday brings understanding and new perspectives to actual challenges in companies and organizations. As a company or public organization you are able to register and submit questions until March 11.
