CPC BEST Speaker Spotlight SeriesOn Friday, October 19th, CPC hosted another successful Business Exploration Student Track (BEST) Mentorship Program event featuring a Distinguished Spotlight Speaker Series panel with JPMorgan. Adult Literacy Students Visit National September 11 Memorial and Museum On November 15, 2018, the advanced level ESL class in Education and Career Services’ Adult Literacy Program visited the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City. This museum commemorates the tragic events from the attack on September 11, 2001. CPC Statement On Federal Administration Executive Order to End Asylum Access at the Southern BorderCPC stands opposed to the Federal Administration’s executive order that would deny asylum access to migrants entering the U.S. southern border. NYC Deputy Mayor's Office and NYCHA Visits CPC Jacob Riis Early Childhood Center During their tour of the center, the group visited classrooms and enjoyed interacting with the children during their art activity. CPC is glad that representatives from NYCHA and the Deputy Mayor's Office were able to see the program and areas for facility improvement first-hand. CPC Brooklyn Senior Services Thanksgiving LuncheonOn November 19th, CPC Brooklyn Senior Services hosted a holiday luncheon for over 150 senior members. Thank you to Assemblyman Peter Abbate and Ms. Irene Chu from AM Abbate's Office, Ms. Angel Fung from CM Mark Treyger's Office, Ms. Ling Kneller from CM Carlos Menchaca's Office, and Ms. Wai Yee Chan from CM Justin Brannan's Office for stopping by to greet our seniors.
