All existing owners of the route will automatically receive a free upgrade via Steam and new purchases of the route will include the intermodal extension. Don't forget to become a fan of our Facebook page for more screenshots of the intermodal extension.

STRATHCLYDE CLASS 101
The Class 101 was one of the largest classes of first generation DMUs on the British railway network and could be seen all over the country from its introduction in 1956 until its last withdrawals in 2003. Re-skinned and upgraded from an earlier Class 101 pack, this Class 101 is now available in Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT) black and orange livery, the first time this livery has featured on a Train Simulator model. Features include manual gear change control, fully detailed cab and control panel, in-cab lighting and an upgrade to TSX standard features. The model is also Quick Drive compatible and includes exciting scenarios for the West Coast Main Line. Strathclyde Class 101 - Coming Soon for Train Simulator

EMD SD45
The SD45 shared the same common frame as its forerunner, the SD40, but featured a number of unique characteristics, including a flared radiator and a 20 cylinder engine that produced 3,600hp. Such was the popularity of the SD45, more than 1,200 units were built between 1965 and 1971 for more than 25 railroads, with many more companies acquiring second hand units. Union Pacific purchased 50 units, primarily for high-speed freight and intermodal services, including mineral, coal and wood chip trains. Available now for Train Simulator is the Union Pacific SD45 from DigitalTrainModel, which includes opening cab doors and windows, accurate sounds, extensive locomotive lighting, power selector and scenarios for Sherman Hill. Future new liveries for the EMD SD45 will also include Southern Pacific and Pennsylvania Railroad, so keep an eye out for your favourite livery. Union Pacific SD45, coming soon for Train Simulator

LNER BLACK FLYING SCOTSMAN
One of the UK’s most famous locomotives, the LNER Black 'Flying Scotsman', is coming soon to Train Simulator in wartime black livery. The locomotive was painted in this colour by its custodians, the National Railway Museum, for its unveiling to the public in 2012 following a lengthy restoration. It was intended to only carry the black livery for the unveiling, and for its speed and main line trials, before being repainted in the more familiar LNER Apple Green. The black livery was intended to be a recreation of the livery the Scotsman wore in 1946, during which period it carried the running numbers 502 and 103 (not the more famous 4472). The NRM repainted the locomotive with both numbers, a different number on each side of the cab, and will be recreated as such in Train Simulator. Also included are BR Mk1 maroon coaches and scenarios for the London-Brighton route. LNER Black 'Flying Scotsman', coming soon for Train Simulator

DONNER PASS UPGRADE - COMING SOON!
The much anticipated upgrade to our Donner Pass route is just a matter of days away. We have extensively updated the route to provide a better driving experience with fewer performance issues, which has included smoothing the gradient, realigning the track curves to remove abrupt and sharp bends, and making the track geometry more realistic. The work to upgrade the Donner Pass has involved changing the track alignment, which is a major task and has involved changes to the positioning of nearby roads, buildings and terrain. All existing owners of the Donner Pass route add-on will automatically receive the free upgrade via Steam on 20th December. For more 'before and after' screenshots, head over to our Facebook page. KENT HIGH SPEED
One of our major releases in 2013 is Kent High Speed from London St Pancras to Faversham, via Ebbsfleet. The line connects London and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone, Kent, and was originally built to carry international passengers from Continental Europe to the UK. In late 2009, Southeastern began operating domestic services partially on Kent High Speed from London to the Kent Coast, significantly reducing travel time into the capital. This new route for Train Simulator will depict the route from London St Pancras to Ebbsfleet and on to Faversham. Included with the route is the Class 395 in Southeastern livery and highly detailed depictions of the route's stations. Our development team has recently been photographing and measuring the Class 395 in preparation for building the model and we will soon be giving you an insight into the visit through our Blog, www.engine-driver.com Coming soon for Train Simulator is High Speed One and North Kent Line route

Two new GE44 switchers coming soon for Train Simulator

Joining the existing GE 44 Tonners in Union Pacific and PRR liveries will soon be two new add-ons, brought to you by DigitalTrainModel. The GE 44 Tonner for Train Simulator will be available in Boston & Maine livery and Southern Pacific livery.

Norfolk Southern Heritage Packs - coming soon to Train Simulator

The heritage locomotives represent most of the railroads that played significant roles in NS’ history, including Conrail, New York Central Railroad, Penn Central and Virginian Railway. The ES44 and SD70 will carry the special commemorative liveries and all 20 locomotives are Quick Drive compatible, making it possible to drive them on any route in Train Simulator.

4BIG (CLASS 422) EMU CLASS 280-157 STEAM WORKSHOP

4BIG Class 422 EMU - coming soon for Train Simulator

The 4BIG (Class 422) EMU was a slam door favourite of South East commuters. Built at BR York between 1964 and 1972, 4BIGs were similar to the standard 4CIG (Class 421) EMUs but contained a buffet car in place of the intermediate trailer, thereby making the consist of two driving trailers, a non-driving motor coach and a buffet car. Eventually, the 4BIG was phased out in favour of more modern EMUs, but such was their popularity many have been preserved on heritage railways in Britain.

West Coast Main Line Collection - Coming Soon for Train Simulator 2013

Coming soon to Train Simulator is the Class 280-157 'Consolidation' steam locomotive. Built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1920 for the Alabama, Tennessee and Northern Railroad, the locomotive was a widely used workhorse. The AT&N was a short line railroad in Alabama, USA, and was founded in 1897 as the Carrollton Short Line Railway, originally chartered to link the city of Carrollton, Alabama, with the Mobile & Ohio Railroad at Reform, Alabama.
