We are very proud to announce that both Shirley and Hannah have been shortlisted to the semi-finals of the Natwest Venus Awards Southampton.

Shirley has been nominated for Employer of the Year, and Hannah, Employee of the Year.

The Venus Awards recognises and rewards women in business for their efforts and achievements in their local business community across Southampton.

Voting has opened to the public today and will close on Friday 10th May.

The finalists will attend the award ceremony at the Grand Harbour Hotel on Tuesday 18th June, where the winners will be announced!

Vote Shirley - Employer of the Year

Shirley Pinn is the Managing Director for Destination Southampton, and also Venue Smart, in addition she manages events for many clients including Business Solent, Heart FM, Stadium Experience and more and is also the Treasurer of the Southampton Hoteliers Association. She set up Destination Southampton in 1997 and ensures the team get involved in a great variety of job roles and events. Every day presents a new challenge for the team at Destination Southampton, working together we aim for great results!

Vote Hannah - Employee of the Year

Hannah Rowley has worked for Destination Southampton for five years. She first joined the company on her work placement year as part of her degree course at Bournemouth University and returned as a full time employee after graduating.

Hannah is one of four members to the Destination Southampton team and is always hard working, efficient and smiley! Her role includes many tasks including venue finding, accounts, social media and being on site at events. She truly is an integral part of a very small team with a lot to deliver and is very deserving of this place in the semi finals.
