Lighting up the Heron Tower

We have recently completed work on a bespoke illuminated sign for SUSHISAMBA, a restaurant which delivers a "unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, culture, music & striking design to the City of London".
The sign stands at the base of the Heron Tower in London's square mile, illuminated with a 5m diameter brand design. Set in the lift shaft of the 46 storey building, the feature is illuminated 24 hours a day. To offset the sharp defined lines of the brand logo, the surrounding shaft space is filled with a wash of colour-changing light, provided by high output RGB fittings. Situated at a major junction on Bishopsgate,  the feature has become a glowing landmark in the heart of the City.

Website redesign

We are preparing to launch a brand new HTML website which will be viewable and responsive on all computers and mobile devices. We wanted to create a site that our clients could navigate with ease to find out more about our projects & product technologies. Also adding several new case studies to our projects gallery including New Court London, 101 Bishopsgate & Sun Court (pictured).
We have redesigned spec sheets for each of our products including our new LED handrail lighting 'Glowrail', Glowline, Spectraglass & LED panels which will be available to download as soon as the site is launched.

33 Kingsway featured in Lux Magazine

Lux magazine recently featured our project 33 Kingsway in their dashboard section, which highlights the energy data. We worked with Sturgis Associates and lighting designer Alma Cardzic to create seamless backlit glass ceilings in this major commercial project. Above the lift on each floor, the complete ceiling is illuminated with a glass butt jointed to provide continuous light across a 6.5m x 1.5m area.

The Light Lab recommends

The Hayward Gallery are currently exhibiting the first survey show of light art in the UK,  to explore how artists have used the qualities of light to influence the perceptions of their audience. The Light Show exhibition will include large-scale installations by 20 international artists, including Anthony McCall and François Morellet and runs until the 28th April 2013.
We will be visiting the exhibition this month so keep posted for photos coming soon to the light lab blog.
