Kindergarten eNews

We hope you had a long, restful and blessed Christmas with your family and friends.  We are excited to start of 2018 with your students.

For the Week of January 3rd

  • Unit Study: We will explore polar animals.
  • Show and Tell:  A Christmas gift that is able to fit in the backpack and not fragile.
  • Bible:  We will continue studying Jesus’ early ministry.
  • Bible Verse:  Matthew 4: 19 - Jesus said, “Follow me I will make you fishers of men.”
  • Reading:  We will be working on short and long vowel sounds, sight words, continue in blend books and begin guided readers.
  • Sight words for this 9 weeks: me, we, big, little, look, said, for, help, make
  • Number words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten
  • Math:  We will practice writing addition sentences, review money, and review measuring.

Looking Ahead

  • January 15th – MLK Day: No School
  • February 14th - Valentine’s Parties
  • February 19th - President’s Day: No School
