Mrs. Li initially came to CPC Brooklyn Community Services where she found out that she was eligible for funds to help with rent and funeral expenses after her husband of 48 years passed due to complications from COVID-19. She joined our "Tea Talks" to receive emotional support from her peers in a culturally appropriate setting.
"I felt lost when my husband was in the hospital," said Mrs. Li. "I felt safe and could rely on CPC. There was someone I could always reach out to."
She continued to open up and attended a class on how to better use digital services. She now knows how to use Zoom and can use it to join virtual workshops, classes, and activities.
