In less than a fortnight we will throw open our doors and welcome you to our theatrical cornucopia: the Season of Plenty. To start things as we mean to go on, on 21 April we are having a party. Join us for music and magic from the likes of Johnny Flynn, Piff the Magic Dragon and many more. If you prefer your music a little more Shakespearean our Music Ho! concert featuring music from 2012’s Twelfth Night and Richard III will be, well, music to your ears. So overflowing with passion is our theatre that we will also be taking five plays on tour, screening several productions from the 2012 season in cinemas; and opening a new foyer on 18 April! King Lear will be the first production taking to the road, travelling to the seaside town of Margate to present its tempestuous poetry to the Theatre Royal Margate. Back home, on the Globe stage, Isango Ensemble bring their rousing interpretation of Shakespeare’s lusty poem, Venus & Adonis to life for a limited 5 performances only. Watch the video trailer here.
